Many people constantly look for the best options of what to pack in a picnic basket. As spring has entered, many people plan to go for a picnic with their family and friends. Going for a picnic is the great way to involve the whole family while basking in the beauty of the nature. There are also many seniors that look for the best outing options with their friends or companion. However, when packing into a picnic basket, it is important to avoid sugary beverages, potato chips and salty/fatty meats. For senior citizens going for a picnic is enthralling and least expensive task to do.

What to Pack in a Picnic Basket?

Being one of the most inexpensive outdoor activities for seniors, there are many things and eatables you can add in the basket that are useful and healthy for seniors. It includes

Foods such as sandwiches and finger foods work great and you can also take side dishes of pasta and fruit dessert, which are healthy for seniors.

Picnics should be never rushed but pre- planned. When packing fruit make sure that they are clean and properly cut and only useful things must be kept rather than over stuffing meaning full things. Picnics are the best ways to explore place, spend quality time with your loved ones and refresh your mood. Seniors can also spend their time making different things of arts and crafts. Moreover, they can utilize their time by chit chatting, playing games and doing different activities.

They can make different things for Easter along enjoying their picnic. Making Easter Bunny craft is the best past time activity they can execute. Other than these they can make different arts and crafts items for Easter. Going for picnic can certainly make their day active and lively. They can pass their time by playing different mind or physical games, depending on their capabilities.

When packing for picnic make sure that the things are packed in a good order such as

  • One the bottom: Utensils, Ice, Pasta salad or beverages.
  • On the side: Plates can be slide
  • In the middle: Dessert, fruits and cheese can be kept
  • On the top: Ground cloth, bread and green salad.

By arranging the basket in such a way, it becomes more convenient to carry it and to use thing sin proper order without messing it.
