Keeping the brain stimulated is a very important element in maintaining a lifelong wellbeing. Since studies and researches show that the brain starts to deteriorate as early as 30 years old, it is indeed very important to keep the brain healthy, especially in seniors. Stimulating the brain to work with brain games and puzzles can be done, however, exercising the brain with the same brain puzzles and games every single day will not be that effective. Playing new games and solving new puzzles can promote more brain function, since it brings the brain out from its comfort zone and brings new challenges. There are plenty of brain games and puzzles that can be played by seniors, which can help in stimulating the brain’s function, thus improving brain fitness.

Scrabble is a type of word game that can be played by 2 players to 4 players. Each player will randomly pick lettered tiles, which they will use for forming words on the scrabble gameboard. The scrabble gameboard is made up of a 15×15 grid with corresponding scores on each tile. The cumulative score of each player will be the basis of who wins the game. Words can be formed vertically (up or down) and horizontally (right). However, it is very important that the words formed are found in a Standard English dictionary.
